While I’m not sure what brought you here to my site, I want to say thank you for stopping by. Here’s a little information in hopes you’ll get to “know” me better.
I’m a single mom to three pretty incredible sons who are quickly becoming men. My oldest is in college, the center child is heading off to college very soon, and my youngest still has a couple of years at home with me. I’m getting closer to an empty nest than I’m comfortable with, but plan on cherishing these last few years with my youngest son at home and functioning as “The Duo.” Already having one son in college, I’ve realized that parenting doesn’t end after high school graduation and I find delight in parenting semi-adult children. But I do love the chaos and activity of a full house. Our family also includes two ridiculously loved and spoiled pups, Millie and Maggie. They also claim the title of most high-maintenance family members.

Here’s a little of my back story. One day, back in 2016, I woke up to a life I never saw coming. The life and family I’d spent 20 years building stopped on a dime. My marriage was over. The church I’d spent years pouring into was no longer part of my life. My community, friends and professional life disappeared in a day’s time. Devastated but determined to create a life that finally felt like my own, I faced my healing journey head-on. I discovered the truth of my experience and learned how to develop a redemptive perspective of my suffering. My life isn’t perfect and my work isn’t done, but I have worked hard to allow my suffering to become a survival guide for others who are walking through emotional turmoil, devastation and heartbreak
Part of my healing process was the realization that I enjoy learning, understanding, and connection specifically in the areas of psychology, attachment, emotional intelligence and connection to the body. I desire to work with people from a posture of personal experience blended with trusted and proven knowledge and modalities. What that basically means is I appreciate a holistic approach to healing and growth with God leading the way as the ultimate Healer. I’m a Certified Personal and Executive Coach with The CaPP Institute (Coaching and Positive Psychology) as well as a Professional Coach with Blessing Ranch Ministries where she uses the Unhindered Model to bring healing, freedom, and power to your heart and life.
I’m beyond excited for my upcoming book, Better Than Okay: Finding Hope and Healing After Your Marriage Ends releases July 2023. This book exists because of my three boys. Together we walked a devastating story. I’m not telling my story, I’m honored to record our story of finding hope and healing together, Us4. I also the co-authored a book with my BFF, Lori Wilhite, Leading and Loving It: Encouragement for Pastors’ Wives and Women in Leadership. My work with Leading and Loving It empowers women in ministry and leadership to develop healthy relationships with themselves so that they can build healthy families, churches, and communities. I find fulfillment in co-leading the LALI community of over 19,000 women towards greater mental empowerment and emotional health through workshops, cohorts, speaking engagements and coaching groups.

“Life is amazing. And then it's awful. And then it's amazing again. And in between the amazing and awful it's ordinary and mundane and routine. Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary. That's just living heartbreaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life. And it's breathtakingly beautiful.”
